Hi there—I'm so glad you're here.
If we haven't met yet, I’m Kristi Razo, the coach behind OC Financial Coaching. Whether you’re new or you’ve followed along in the past, I wanted to take a moment to say: I’m back and ready to help.
Over the past few years, I’ve continued serving as a financial coach in a more behind-the-scenes, volunteer capacity—walking alongside people who are trying to make sense of their money, learn financial basics, reduce debt, and finally get some breathing room. I have been doing a lot of work with my church and our members ranging from college students to white collar professionals and even retired folks. Money isn't taught in school and frankly, after getting my MBA, it really isn't taught in college either. (hint: borrowing IS taught in college though!) And, as I’ve watched the financial pressures of today grow—rising costs of living, student loan repayments coming back in full force, increasing economic uncertainty—I felt called to step back into this work more fully and publicly.
Because the truth is, people who make good money still feel broke all the time—and it’s not your fault. I know this was exactly how it felt when I was in debt.
Who I Help
OC Financial Coaching is for everyday professionals—medical professionals, lawyers, doctors, sales reps, real estate agents, educators, creatives, and beyond—who are trying to make the most of what they earn but often feel like they’re spinning their wheels.
Especially if you:
Are burdened by student loan debt that's been haunting you for years (or even decades)
Make a lot of money but always feel broke or have no money left after bills
Seem to be growing your debt even though you're making monthly payments
Have irregular income (hello, commission-based life)
Or simply feel like no one ever taught you how to manage money (only how to earn it or borrow it)...
You're not alone—and you’re not “bad with money.”
You just haven’t had the right plan.
Why Now?
The economy is shifting. Interest rates are higher and seem uncertain. Student loan payments are back, with a friend named garnisment. And inflation hasn’t exactly slowed down like many people thought it would.
Even high earners are feeling the pinch.
Now more than ever, people need clear strategies, personalized plans, and compassionate support to:
Get a handle on irregular income flows
Understand how to tackle student loan debt when the goal post keeps moving
Budget in a way that actually fits their life and doesn't create more stress
Tackle debt without shame or embarassment
And finally start building some margin (and peace) into their financial life
My Approach
I’m not here to shame you for your spending or sell you a “miracle” strategy.
I’m here to listen to your story, find the gaps, and build a money system that works for you—not against you. In my experience, a single approach doesn't work for everyone, and I have even felt that way myself while paying off my past debt. (If we haven't met yet, I am debt free and paid off $136,864 of credit card and student loan debt).
My coaching is personal, flexible, and focused on progress over perfection. Our approach is tailored to your unique needs, not a rigid framework that disrupts your entire life. Think of me as your financial sounding board, accountability partner, and biggest cheerleader.
What’s Ahead
In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more blog posts, tools, and free downloads to help you:
Set up a system that works with your income, even if its irregular or commission based
Understand and tackle student loan debt now to get it out of your life
Budget with confidence—even if you hate spreadsheets
Make room for debt payments and real life
And start seeing progress that feels doable and sustainable
If you’re ready to get unstuck, or you just need a fresh perspective, you’re in the right place.
